Legal Notice - Request to Acquire
NOTICE is hereby given that on or about August 1, 2024, Aqua Indiana, Inc. (“Aqua Indiana”) will file with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (“Commission”) a request to acquire the wastewater collection system that provides wastewater service within certain portions of unincorporated Morgan County, Indiana, known as the Wiser Addition, currently owned by the Morgan County Regional Sewer District (“RSD”). The request for approval will be made pursuant to Indiana Code section 8-1-30.3-6.6, which authorizes the use of the Commission’s 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6, for this transaction. The filing would affect only those current RSD customers in the Wiser Addition, who would become customers of Aqua Indiana’s Wildwood Shores Division and be subject to its Commission-approved tariff.
Aqua Indiana anticipates approval of the filing in early September 2024, but no sooner than 30 days after the Commission’s receipt of the filing. Any objection to the filing should be directed to: (a) the Secretary of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 East, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204; or (b) the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, PNC Center, 115 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 South, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
