An Important Message from Aqua PA President Marc Lucca
Dear Treasure Lake Customer,
Proper operation of sewer pipes requires periodic maintenance to prevent buildup of grease and clogs. I wanted to share with you an important project beginning on February 12th. Aqua has contracted Wilson Excavating and Utility Construction to perform sewer line cleaning and televising to benefit your community. In short, we’re working to keep your sewer lines clean and functional.
So, what does this mean for you? It allows us to better serve Treasure Lake now and in the future. During the project, not only will the sewer pipes be cleaned, but cameras will be used to identify any issues that need further attention. This allows us to proactively schedule improvements to make sure you have the best possible service for years to come. But, as with most improvements, this work does not come without some disruption. To minimize any inconvenience, the project will be completed in three phases. This gives homeowners a better idea of when they can expect the work in their area.
I encourage you to read the important information below for answers to frequently asked questions and to see potential issues that could come up during the work.
I wanted to thank you for your patience and understanding during this project and all improvement projects in Treasure Lake.
Marc A. Lucca
President, Aqua Pennsylvania
FAQs
What is the project and why is it important?
The purpose of the project is to make sure your community’s sewer pipe is free of grease or other obstructions, including roots or other deposits. Crews will use high-pressure water jets and a high-powered vacuum, and if needed, a cutting tool to clear the lines. A camera will also be used to survey the pipe to identify any potential problem areas. On each individual pipe segment (manhole to manhole), the work typically only takes about a half-hour to complete.
Can I expect any issues or service disruptions?
Should your home not be adequately vented, this work can potentially lead to toilet or sink discharges. We advise that toilet seats remain closed to prevent splashing. If you experience an odor after cleaning is completed, please run water so that your sink drains and traps can be refilled.
Please be aware that these types of problems can be an indicator of faulty or inadequate plumbing ventilation in your home. You should consider having your sewer vent(s) checked if you experience such an occurrence.
What is the timeline for the project?

What will the impact be in the community?
Apart from seeing contractors performing the work in Treasure Lake, the impact will be minimal. When it comes time to service your sewer line, you can expect the work to take about a half hour to complete. As is always the case, do not permit anyone to enter your home representing themselves as a contractor or Aqua employee without proper identification. If you have any questions, you should call our customer service team at 877.987.2782.
