- Cornstarch
- Food coloring or washable paint
- Water
- Ice or popsicle tray
Now that you’ve gathered your ingredients, follow these steps to make your own chalk:
- Mix ¼ cup cornstarch, ¼ cup water, and 2 tbsp of paint.
- Stir the mixture and pour into popsicle molds or ice tray.
- Freeze overnight.
- Run molds briefly under warm water to release your chalk.
- Find a blank canvas and chalk away!
Pro tip: If you don’t have a ton of colors to choose from, get primary color paint and have fun mixing your own colors. Let the kids try different ratios of colors and see what fun shades they come up with.
